Onyria Palamares Beach & Golf Resort, Lagos – 5 Star
This 5-star unit will be called “Onyria Palmares BEACH HOUSE hotel”.
Reference to BEACH was originated by the fact that all public areas are overlooking the sea. Furthermore all the 18 rooms and 2 suites will have beds facing the windows so our guests will wake-up looking the Meia-Praia beach.
The word HOUSE suggests the cozy service level, where guests will feel like they’re at home whether they’re in the privacy of their rooms, in the bar, restaurant or in the swimming pool. Our group in Cascais, at “Onyria Marinha Edition Hotel” implemented this standard of service which led us to be considered in 2013 by TripAdvisor the hotel #1 in Europe and #3 in the world! The idea is to precisely apply these procedures and standards here in Lagos (more about Lagos here).
The hotel will be located between the 18th green and the Driving-Range just 700 meters away from the beach. Guests will enjoy 180 degrees of panoramic views to the Bay of Lagos with the fascinating 4 Km extension of sand of the “Meia-Praia” beach that go from the estuary of “Ria de Alvor” until the beautiful city walls of Lagos. Golf fans will also appreciate live golf from their windows watching players perform in the links holes just below. These holes will be fun to watch as they were described by our golf architect – Robert Trent Jones Jr – as a “warmer Scotland”!
Onyria Palmares Beach House Hotel will be the first hotel in the resort and will also provide, to the resort property owners, hospitality services such as concierge, housekeeping or food & beverage.

Onyria Palmares Golf – links and parkland in a spectacular seaside setting
Within the natural amphitheatre of the Bay of Lagos, Robert Trent Jones II has fashioned Europe’s next great golf course, Onyria Palmares Golf. The brief given to this exceptional American golf course designer was to craft a 27-hole golf course which maximised the potential of its extraordinary environment. The result is a golf course of breathtaking natural beauty which is a delight to play. The course opened 18 holes for play in October 2010 and the full 27 last June 2011 and it has matured nicely.
Robert Trent Jones II designed the golf course with the highest level of international tournament golf in mind as well as a pleasurable golf experience for members and tourists alike. There is plenty of challenge, if that’s what you want – especially from the white tees! Onyria Palmares Golf is composed of three returning nine-hole loops that can be played in any sequence. The genius in the routing is that, depending on the sequence of play, each golf experience is different. Each nine-hole loop – Alvor, Lagos and Praia – has its own character and ambience.
