Actons of Kinsale is situated in heart of the colourful historic harbour town of Kinsale also referred to as the Gourmet Capital of Ireland.
Actons is the oldest hotel in Kinsale originally established in 1946 by two sisters, Sidney and Shelia Acton and since then has become an integral part of Kinsale town.
This hotel overlooks Kinsale Harbour and Yacht Club allowing you to wake up to the twinkling sound of yacht masts.
After a substantial renovation in 2012 the hotel re opened in March 2013.
Over the years Actons of Kinsale has established a reputation for its exceptional location, highly personal and genuine guest care, and renowned cuisine. Actons has become a ‘home away from home’ for both the people of Kinsale and the business and holiday travellers who know, feel and appreciate, the Actons of Kinsale difference.

This contemporary boutique style hotel comprises 73 en suite bedrooms including a bridal and family rooms, Sidney’s Bar & Brasserie offer all day dinning, Fisher St Restaurant, Health & Leisure Club with fully equipped gym, 15 meter swimming pool, sauna & steam room and 3 treatment rooms.
History
Actons of Kinsale is the oldest hotel in Kinsale celebrating over 67 years in the hospitality industry.
The hotel was the original home of the Acton family who had settled in Kinsale in 1860 and soon developed a number of businesses in the town. In subsequent years the family bought the adjoining buildings in which Sidney Acton opened a family hotel in 1946.
In 1962 Trusthouse Forte purchased and developed a leisure complex in 1986,they added the conference centre accommodating up to 300 delegates in 1988.
The hotel was subsequently bought and managed by the Stafford Group in 1995 who then sold it to a local family in 2007.

Enjoy a great night’s sleep in our large fully sprung mattress beds with luxury duck and down duvets. Our rooms also feature black out curtains for that added snooze factor! All rooms are en suite with large waterfall showers for a fresh start to the day.
Each of the 73 rooms have all the amenities needed to please each of our guests. These include complimentary Wifi access, voicemail, flat screen televisions and tea & coffee making facilities. All of our rooms are non-smoking.

Each of our family rooms comprises of 1 double and 1 single bed with their own private en suite facilities and can sleep 2 adults and one child. A camp bed / roll away bed can be added to the room to sleep a second child.

The bathrooms have a waterfall shower and some have a bath.
We provide travel cots which must be requested at time of reservation.

At Actons of Kinsale breakfast is a delightful pleasure; where you can choose from an array of dishes on our cold buffet from cold cut meats, Local Irish Cheese, yoghurts, breakfast pastries, Muesli and Fruits.
From our a la carte breakfast menu you can enjoy delicious local Sausages, and Black Pudding as well as bacon and local free range eggs, you can also choose to have Eggs Benedict and a range of fluffy omelettes cooked to your liking and to order.
