The Scotsman Hotel – Edinburgh – 4 Star

An Icon Of Edinburgh Since 1905

The Scotsman Hotel is located on the historic North Bridge, connecting the ancient Old Town of Edinburgh with the cosmopolitan New Town. 10 floors of luxurious rooms, suites and a duplex Penthouse offer our guests unrivalled views including Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill, The Scott Monument and beyond.

Named after Scotland’s national newspaper, for which the Baroque building was originally built as headquarters, The Scotsman of today is a true city hotel, featuring an all-day brasserie restaurant, three bars, a boutique cinema and a range of events spaces.

Accommodations :

Our bedrooms and suites harness the historical character of the building and provide a warm and welcome sanctuary to all those who spend the night. Natural light floods rooms with exposed brick and wood panelled walls, with sumptuous soft furnishings designed to make you feel right at home.

Perched high atop North Bridge with the bustling Market Street nestled below, our commanding position allows for some of the best views of the city. From our castle views from the Penthouse Balcony, to our corner suites with panoramic views of the historic Calton Hill, there is no better place to view the city from above.

You can expect an extensive list of signature Scotsman amenities, such as our wee nip of Whisky on arrival to perk you up, and our specially selected Arran Sense Of Scotland toiletries. Our famously welcoming concierge service is on hand to help you with everything from our signature room service (delivered directly to your room via a hatch) to helping arrange your itineraries and reservations for some of the cities must-see spots.
